Elden Ring: How To Get The Sage Set | Screen Rant

The Sage Set is a collection of light armor pieces in Elden Ring that features a design strikingly similar to that of the Mythic Dawn Agents of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Compared to the starter Astrologer Set that most mages will likely choose to begin with, the Sage Set possesses lower Physical and Elemental Resistance Stats, yet the armor pieces weigh noticeably less. In terms of armor practicality in Elden Ring, spellcasters are better off using the Astrologer Set unless they prefer the Sage Set's appearance. On the other hand, those who began as the Wretch class might find the armor more reasonably useful.

The location of the Sage Set in Elden Ring is Stillwater Cave, a small Dungeon in Liurnia of the Lakes. The cavern sits in the far southeastern tip of the region near the exit of Stormveil Castle. To reach Stillwater Cave, Tarnished must brave the castle and defeat Godrick the Grafted, or they can take the hidden cliffside trail along the eastern walls of Stormveil.

Once adventurers arrive at the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Gace in Elden Ring, they need to make their way down the mountain by jumping down the giant stone tablets that line the cliff wall. After reaching the damp marshland at the bottom, Elden Ring players can recognize the cave's entrance by the two passive jellyfish swimming in the air nearby.

Sections of Stillwater Cave are dimly lit, so players are recommended to equip a torch or lantern before venturing into the grotto. A torch can be purchased from Merchant Kalé at the Church of Ellehin Limgrave, and a Nomadic Merchant in Liurnia northwest of the cave sells a lantern. Within the first room, a Giant Poison Flower will be sitting in a poisonous swamp below. To avoid this enemy, Tarnished can run along the left ledge but will need to be careful of the Servant of Rot at the end.

Afterward, players should leap over a small ridge to where two Rot Servants are standing. As long as Tarnished have enough Stamina to sprint past them, their Elden Ring Poison spells shouldn't be able to reach the player. Tarnished should then continue down the mineshaft until they reach a small area with the Sage Set on a corpse sunk in a puddle of toxic muck. However, they should not be too hasty to grab the armor. Several Giant Bats are hanging from the ceiling and will attack as soon as the player enters the area. Once the bats have been dealt with, players can safely acquire and begin using the Sage Armor Set in Elden Ring.
