Katie Maloney from Vanderpump Rules is fuelling break-up rumors with her husband Tom Schwartz as she was spotted without her wedding band. The reality star couple began dating prior to the Bravo series, which began in 2013. The pair were introduced by former castmate Kristen Doute, who was fired along with Stassi Schroeder for past racially insensitive comments towards costar Faith Stowers. Despite an alleged cheating scandal on Tom's part, he proposed to Katie in 2015.
After a year of wedding planning, the couple got married in 2016 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. However, fans discovered many years later that Tom and Katie were not legally married at the time and didn't officially tie the knot until 2019. The couple seemed to be on a better path, as they planned on welcoming a child sometime in the near future, it seems as though Katie and Tom might not be as great as fans believed
On Thursday night, Katie shared a snap to Instagram of her and Stassi out to dinner at The Beverly Hills Hotel, where she seemingly isn't wearing her wedding ring. "Dirty Martinis per usual," Katie, who fans think wants a divorce, captioned the photo. In the picture, the former Vanderpump Rules castmates are side by side at a round table, smiling from ear to ear with their left hands on the side of the faces. Katie's followers were quick to notice the missing ring and took to her comment section to express their concern. "no [engagement ring emoji] ?! Whatever is going on I hope you are good," one fan wrote. However, another speculated that Katie removed her ring on purpose so she and Tom could have a storyline for the next season of VPR.
The fan believes the "hand placement is on purpose" and that Tom and Katie are doing just "fine." A third followed agreed, adding that the VPR cast is "fishing" for a new storyline and that the online speculation around the missing ring is their "offering" to the network. Katie, who discussed her fertility struggles, has not answered any of her follower's questions nor has she commented on the breakup rumors with any public news outlets. Tom hasn't commented on the speculation either. Despite the breakup rumors, Tom's most recent Instagram photo from February 4, which includes a selfie of him and Katie, is still on his grid.
Whether or not the breakup rumors are just speculation, fans are wondering if Katie and Tom have decided to pull the plug on their relationship. Even though they have been through some rough times on Vanderpump Rules, Katie and Tom have always been the one solid couple of the group. Hopefully, Katie was simply not wearing her ring for the picture.
